The [Hair] Of Slytherin: SOMA, San Francisco

What can I say about Michael that hasn’t already been said about AC Slater, flying cars, and finding spare
dollars in your washed up jeans? Not only is he a second time star on TheFalco.com, he’s also a damn
genius when it comes to style.

To pull off a Black on Black outfit requires a lot of experience/style: You need to have perfect layering, a sense
of the which blacks you want (yes, there’s more than just one Black), a firm knowledge of textures, and you also
need the attitude to match.

Ya know what’s strange? From what I’ve seen, actual fashion designers dress pretty normal. Sure, they do
inject a good amount of style into their personal wardrobe but it is the non-designers who come off as
most stylish. Michael, a Fashion Marketing student, is no exception.

I think you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes, and how clean they keep em. To me, a person who is
comfortable in their scuffed shoes is often a person at ease with their own self. Allowing one’s shoes to age
gracefully is like saying that you’re comfortable in your own skin – be it your own human skin, or a chunk of
sleek leather boots.

Business As Usual: At The San Francisco State University Fashion Show

Okay, I’ll be 100% honest with you: This fashion show was not the best I’ve seen. In other words, some of
the clothes were actually, kinda sorta, maybe, under certain circumstances, a bit on the uglier side of
things. But I mean hey! Everyone is a winner, right?! *cricket-cricket*

So, with that in mind, here are some of the looks/details that I DID like; although, there were definitely
outfits that I liked but didn’t get a chance to photograph.

I wonder what this guy is thinking: “What is thy purpose in life!?”

Ahhh! Watch out! It’s a dementor! It’s an evil, soul sucking– oh wait, nvm ^-^

This outfit was actually one of my favorites. It wasn’t the most technical outfit, nor was it the most creative,
but it was definitely among the most wearable. Because in the end, no matter how much you love that
Chanel Couture collection, there’s no way in hell you’re gonna wear it to the supermarket – unless you’re
Lady Gaga.

OH SNAP! IT’S THE HAMBURGLAR! Hahahaha! Okay, Ranier, focus! Stop monkeying around! :o)

“This outfit-suh is like-uh SOOO comfortable-suh!”

Holy crap! Isn’t that the guy from Dancing With The Stars, Tony Dovolani?! Please, Tony! Do a move
for us! Wow us with your dancing abilities! Aside from this guy being one stylish mofo, he actually
approached me because he wanted a shot of my outfit for his blog. You sir, have impeccable taste!

As always, this Mr. Hector lookin stylish, as if  he owns the damn place. Although I must admit: I’m a bit
surprised he isn’t wearing one of those unique bow ties that he usually wears…

Overall, the show was pretty cool. I can’t really cap on it too much because in all honesty, I can’t even knit
myself a damn tube sock. However, from an analytic perspective, there were definitely good pieces, and
bad ones. Not only that, but I’m actually attending San Francisco State in the fall, so GO SFSU!

Lesson of the day: This girl has really cute hair.

I’m Glovin’ It! – Fashion Feud (Round 1), San Francisco

HEY! What the hell are you doing?! You can’t do that! That’s a violation of fashion protocol #26348!
Hmmm… come to think about it… that’s actually pretty cool. Well in that case, BRAVO! You may
proceed with your witchcraft.

With every other shirt/jacket equipped with epaulets, does anyone actually use them? I mean sure,
they’re a nice design element, but should we start acting like this guy, using them for their practical
purpose? I for one am in support of this. What do YOU think, hmmm?

It’s Bryan Boy! (the San Francisco version): Jonvey Salon, San Francisco

HOLY SHIT! IT’S BRYAN BOY! Well… he looks a lot less harmful than Bryan Boy, but he definitely
has the same vibe goin on. Now, I’m not saying this guy is biting off Bryan Boy’s style – for all we know,
he could be Bryan Boy’s muse – but I do think he’s doing a twist on it. It’s Bryan Boy in a less
Gaudy, almost wearable way. It’s Bryan Man!

I mean personally, I think Bryan Boy is the shit, and for him to be backstage talking to models, meeting
with designers, and probably having lunch with Marc Jacobs himself, is impressive – especially
for a blogger. Not only did this guy rock the Bryan Boy hairstyle and shoes, he also had the sunglasses.

(I overheard this guy talking to one of the guests at the show)
Girl: OMG! I love your sunglasses! Chanel?
Bryan Man: Oh no, it’s Marc Jacobs.

YOU WOULD!

With the fashion scene in the bay area growing, it’s nice to see designers
and bloggers coming together, mixing the bowl, and creating something
reputable out of this liberal epicenter/cultural bonanza we call San Francisco.

In terms of fashion power, we’re no New York. Hopefully we can get there, or
at the very least, compete, but hey! At least we have our very own Bryan
Boy! That’s a start, right?

The In-Crowd: Jonvey Salon Fashion Show

What do fashion people do when they’re not being so… fashiony?
THEY PARTY! WOOO! LET’S GET F*CKIN SMASHED, BROSKI! WOO!!!!
KEG STAND THIS SHIT, YO!

Oh… nevermind! Despite the wild antics that may occur after hours, when
around other fashionistas, the fashion crowd can be some of the most
refined and classy people you can find.

This man right here has a very interesting sense of style. The last time I saw
him, he had metal spiked epaulets! I like how he injects this flash of metallic
in an otherwise normal black and white outfit. Touche brother, TOUCHE!

My first impression of this outfit was: “WOW! Who let the bums out?” Maybe
it’s because I associate vests and long hair with bums, but when I took the
time to not be an asshole, I realized how good this outfit was. It’s functional
(ie., it keeps him warm) and it’s colored well in contrast to his facial hair.
I call this: BUM CHIC! Coming in Spring 2012! (kidding)

STOP THE MUSIC! WHO IS THIS?! WHO. IS. THIS. BEAUTIFUL. CREATURE?!
Holy hair! THE HAIR PEOPLE, THE HAIR! As simple as she looks, I am deeply
in love with this girl. I love the hint of eye makeup, the damn cute haircut,
and that infectious half-smirk. By FAR the cutest girl in…. wait..

WAIT A SECOND!

AHA! Now THIS is the cutest girl in the room! PUAHAHA! This adorable
little Mochi ball of cuteness was prancing around, being cute, and being
darn stylish at the same time. We must, I say, we MUST construct a
monument in support of this cute little girl!

And with that I bring you Joy, one of my favoritest fashion models who,
in case you can’t see for yourself, is one classy classy lady ;) Pinkies up!
